LANDMARKS
Monuments/Museums/Mall – The obvious “Three M’s” for tourists visiting the city. Almost all are free. Simply take the MetroRail to the ‘Smithsonian’ station (Orange/Blue Line). This puts you relatively in the center of all the action; you can take it from there.
Union Station – Completed in 1908, Union Station is considered to be one of the finest examples of the “Beaux-Arts” style of architecture. The main hall is great for photographs (inside and out)
Union Market – Located within the larger “Florida Avenue Market” (DC’s only remaining wholesale market), Union Market is one of two active “market halls” in the District
H Street Corridor – This stretch of H Street NE features more food/entertainment
